Four Outstanding Seniors Recognized

Four outstanding seniors were recognized for their achievements by the board of directors. High School Principal Chris Pietraszewski honored Cody Novobilski, Cheyenne Schneider, Caroline Tuman and Allison Werner.

Cody is the son of Barry and Pam Novobilski of Honesdale.

Ranking in the top 15 percent of his class, Cody is a member of the Center Stage Club and the National Honor Society.

He is an honor roll student and helped with the annual holiday lights display at HHS.

Cody also is an information technology inter with Scott Miller and was a member of the stage crew and aided in set construction of the all-school musicals.

He plans to attend the Pennsylvania College of Technology in August and major in information technology.

Cheyenne is the daughter of Tracy Schneider of Honesdale and also ranks in the top 15 percent of her class.

As a member of the cross county team, she lettered thrice, earned the coach's dedication award and was a captain.

Cheyenne was also the recipient of the cross country scholarship and participated in state competition.

She was also a member of the track and field team.

Cheyenne is a student council homeroom representative, a member of the honor roll and National Honor Society.

She plans to attend Penn State University's nursing program and pursue a career as a nurse practitioner.

Caroline is the daughter of William and Coleen Tuman of Honesdale.

Ranking in the top 15 percent of her class, Caroline is a member of the honor roll and the National Honor Society.

An active athlete, she participated in cross county, junior varsity and varsity basketball where she lettered twice.

Caroline was also a member of the track & field team and lettered three times.

She is a student council member at large, senior class treasurer, member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and an altar server and youth group member of St. John the Evangelist.

Caroline plans to major in fashion merchandising and marketing at Philadelphia University.

Allison is the daughter of David and Michelle Werner of Honesdale and ranks in the top 15 percent of her class.

She participated in a variety of extracurriculars at HHS, including track & field, cross county and the Interact Club.

Allison was a varsity boys basketball cheerleader and varsity football cheerleader where she lettered twice and once, respectively.

Giving back to her community, she was the HHS Red Cross Blood Drive Committee Chair, Leaders Save Lives Blood Drive Hostess and Red Cross Red Cord recipient.

Allison is also a member of the honor roll, National Honor Society and is an altar server at St. John the Evangelist.

She plans to attend King's College for the five-year accelerated Masters Physician Assistant Program.

Board Vice President George Korb spoke to the students on behalf of the board.

“Congratulations to each one of you,” he said.

“It's an honor for us as your school board to be able to recognize you and all you have accomplished.”
